IV Hydration Therapy Q & A

What is IV hydration therapy?

IV hydration therapy is an effective way to provide your body with the fluids for its' optimal function. Therapy can also provide vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other essential nutrients that support your overall wellness and weightloss.

Treatment involves the delivery of fluids directly into your bloodstream through an intravenous line (IV) in your vein. This gives your cells immediate access to the nutrients to help the body compesate from various ailments.

Vincit Medical Practice & Aesthetics offers IV hydration therapy in-office. Mrs. Acosta can tailor an IV therapy plan according to your unique health needs and your wellness goals.

When should I consider IV hydration therapy?

You may be a candidate for the IV hydration therapy services available at Vincit Medical Practice & Aesthetics if you’re interested in revitalizing your overall health and boosting your immunity.

IV therapy can also relieve symptoms of acute illnesses or chronic diseases and other health issues, including:

  • Dehydration
  • Migraines
  • Cold and flu
  • Hangover
  • Low energy and fatigue
  • Musculoskeletal pain

If you have nutritional deficiencies due to a poor diet or underlying medical conditions, Mrs. Acosta can determine which essential nutrients you might need during your IV therapy session and order lab work if needed.

What can I expect during my IV hydration therapy appointment?

During your initial IV hydration therapy appointment at Vincit Medical Practice & Aesthetics, you can expect to interview for medical history and allergies. Then you will sit comfortably on a recliner to prepare for your infusion.

Mrs. Acosta will start an IV line,  in one of your veins and connect it to a bag of fluids and other nutrients. The fluids drip slowly through the IV and into your bloodstream. Close monitoring takes place and Mrs. Acosta prioritizes your health and safety while monitoring your vital signs throughout your treatment. You will be provided water and snacks as you relax while listening to instrumental music that will submerge you into relaxation.

Most people will notice immediate benefits such as decreased stress, decreased migraines, increased energy and mental clarity, before their treatment is complete. However, it can take several hours before you experience the full benefit of IV hydration therapy. Ultimately lasting one to two weeks.

Results of IV therapy can last for several days, and Mrs. Acosta determines how often you can schedule IV hydration based on your overall health and the condition you’re treating.
